Crystal Grids

Crystal Grids

A crystal grid is an excellent way to amplify good energy around any intention or goal.  If you’re already working all the angles of a situation – why not bring in the subtle superpowers of the universe?  When you start focusing your mind and your energy, the universe will respond and start changing situations around you, making it easier for you to see opportunities and get what you really want.

Tuning yourself into positivity and broadcasting your intention with a crystal grid is super simple, and you can do it any way you want because there's no wrong way to do it!

What is a crystal grid?

It's a special arrangement of crystals, often in a geometric design that you set up as an energetic tool to help bring your desires, goals and prayers to life.

What are some good reasons to set up your crystal grid?

Crystals respond best to positive intentions that you create, and it could be almost anything!

People have used crystal grids to help themselves:

  • Attract the resources and confidence to start their own prosperous business.
  • Get the inspiration to develop the skills needed for a promotion or find the right environment for a promotion.
  • Charm love interests that will lead to more-fulfilling relationships.
  • Create the best conditions to promote health and wellness.
  • Live and work harmoniously with others to enhance peace and harmony at home.
  • Feel more optimistic about life by seeing new opportunities.

You'll love crystal grids because of these great benefits:

  1.  No one needs to see it except you, so you have total freedom to make it in any design that speaks to you.
  2. They greatly amplify your focused intention to make your dreams happen much quicker.
  3. They enhance your visualizations to keep out the negative thought patterns when those around you start dragging you back into old, bad habits.
  4. These grids encourage you to make the big life decisions that matter.
Now let's get into the fun part, shall we?

What do you need to make a crystal grid, and how does it work?

First, you start with your intention. It's important to be as specific as you can about what you want to manifest. Write it down on a small piece of paper.

Next, pick crystals that have natural properties matching your intention. Clear quartz crystal amplifies anything, so you can use this stone in any grid. Stones for love and strength are often red, stones for energy are orange, stones for optimism are yellow, stones for wealth and compassionate cooperation are green, stones for self-expression and communication are light blue, stones for honing intuition and independence are indigo and stones for imagination and fame are often purple. You can always look up more about the specific properties of the crystals you're interested in a book like "The Encyclopedia of Crystals" by Judy Hall.

Remember that when you feel very attracted to a stone, it's not a coincidence. Trust your intuition to guide you to the right stones. You'll want about a handful of stones in total to start.

Now it's time to build the crystal grid on your altar. If you don't have an altar, then now's the time to consider making one like we discussed earlier.  Wherever you keep your grid, it helps to place it near a sunny window where natural sunlight can reach the crystals, cleansing them and magnifying their energy.

Cleanse the energy of your space by burning incense, a sage-brush bundle or Palo Santo wood. Cleanse your crystals in running water also.

Pick the largest crystal from the ones you've chosen, or whichever one has a point to help direct energy if possible. Put the paper with your intention written on it underneath this central "master" crystal in the middle of your arrangement.

Now close your eyes, remember your intention and place the rest of your stones around the central one in whichever shape or pattern that appeals to you. If you have a cloth or drawing of a special mandala, yantra or other favorite geometric shape, you use that as a blueprint and lay the stones on top of it. As an optional last step, you can take a clear quartz or selenite crystal point and activate the formation further by drawing an invisible line connecting all the stones together from the outside to the inside of your grid.

For best results, leave it out for 40 days.

If you wanted to make a crystal grid for prosperity

Use combinations of yellow and orange calcite, affordable abundance stones that activate the solar-plexus chakra and increase energy levels.

Add citrine, from the quartz-crystal family. Look for high-quality pieces, not fake and dyed ones that are bright orange, that will have inclusions that reflect rainbows on the inside. Citrine attracts wealth and promotes overall optimism.

Include amethyst, a violet-purple stone that, according to Hall's description in "The Encyclopedia of Crystals,  "helps align personal vision with highest good" (pg. 52) . This stone is thought to assist in manifesting dreams.

Add jade, peridot or fluorite, excellent crystals for attracting abundance and healing old wounds that stop you from reaching your full potential.

If you wanted to make a crystal grid for attracting love

Rose quartz, rhodonite and rhodochrosite all help awaken compassion for yourself and others, helping you find the patience to ground your emotions into reality and forgive the past. Combined with green stones like chrysoprase to bring in joy and malachite to purify your heart, use this grid to help your heart emotionally and physically.
